The Construction Department is responsible for the implementation of the regular investment projects which are necessary
to operate the Antwerp Platform in accordance with predefined objectives (Safety, Environment, Quality, Efficiency, ...).
The candidate will ensure successful projects in accordance with the requirements of safety, environment, functionality, quality, timing, ergonomics, cost, and legal obligation, about lighting in buildings, streets and production units.
The job holder supervises the contractor companies in construction phase.
He will contribute in the scope development during the FEED and EPC phase.

Functieomschrijving
As a Construction Coordinator, you will:
- Coordinate electrical construction works, follow up of installation new electrical equipment, cable works, perform testing and start-up. Do trouble shooting. The scopa is LV and MV.
- Instruct, supervise, correct and motivate the contractors to ensure that their results are consistent with the scope of work and the company targets.
- In order to obtain construction packages of high quality, you provide technical assistance to the Project Engineers of FEED team and Engineering Department, and you check compatibility with common practices in order to proceed with the project in the safest, most cost effective and from quality point of view best way.
- Coordinate with your colleagues who are responsible for other disciplines (Piping, Mechanical, Instruments, Civil, ...) of the projects and with other departments such as Engineering, Operations, Safety, Environment, Electrical Maintenance.
- Coordinate the technical aspects of the inquiries for services and give technical assistance to evaluate the bids and select the best bidder.
- Determine and control priorities and project milestones in order to fit the execution of the project in the refinery planning and take corrective actions when problems arise.
- Evaluate on extras and claims, introduced by the different contractors.
- Guide the QA/QC inspectors of the notified bodies to obtain formal approval of compliance with legal requirements.
- Follow-up that the executed works are conform the applicable specifications, construction packages and relevant legislations.
- Follow-up and check that the works are executed safely and all safety requirements are met.
- Follow-up and check the quality of the works.
- Manage the trouble shooting in case of problems during start up.
- Participate to specification improvements and in company related working groups.
- Follow up punch list to full completion.
Functie eisen
- You are an electrical Engineer, or equivalent by experience, with an eye for Safety, Environment and Quality with minimum of 3 years’ experience in electrical department.
- You have a good technical knowledge within the electrical domain, with a strong technical knowledge of specifications and codes.
- You are used to work in an industrial environment.
- You are a Team player, assertive, persevering and you show a diplomatic attitude.
- You can easily deal with a diversity of people.
- You have perfect knowledge of Dutch and practical knowledge of English.
- You have a strong AREI legislation knowledge
- You have a strong ATEX legislation knowledge
- You have a BA4 certification
