We are currently looking for a highly experienced Commissioning DCS Specialist for a major industrial energy transition project in the Netherlands.
The project involves a 200 MW electrolyzer facility currently entering the pre-commissioning phase. The first activities are expected to start in November, including DCS reception, equipment energization, and initial loop checks. Short business trips to engineering and project offices in France, Germany, and Poland may be required

The successful candidate will lead all Distributed Control System (DCS) related commissioning activities on site.
Key responsibilities include:
- DCS reception, energization, and system checks
- Verification of DCS configuration against project specifications
- Validation and troubleshooting of control logic
- Coordination with loop-check and commissioning teams
- Identification and resolution of DCS-related issues
- Modification of DCS parameters where required, including ranges, sensor types, control logic, and functional settings
- Completion of quality documentation and commissioning records for all on-site activities
- Supporting the successful handover of the system from pre-commissioning to commissioning phases
The position requires a hands-on professional capable of working independently while coordinating effectively with multidisciplinary team

We are seeking a proactive and technically strong DCS Commissioning Specialist who can take ownership of all DCS-related commissioning activities and contribute to the successful delivery of a large-scale industrial project.
Only candidates meeting the mandatory DCS and Yokogawa experience requirements will be considered.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with DCS systems
- Proven experience with Yokogawa DCS systems (mandatory)
- Strong background in DCS commissioning and startup activities
- Experience in commissioning management
- Advanced knowledge of E&I commissioning
- Advanced experience with commissioning of electrical shelters and electrical equipment
- Advanced experience with commissioning of rotating equipment
- Advanced pre-commissioning knowledge, including:
- P&ID checks
- Blowings
- Flushings
- Inerting activities
- Ability to read and interpret:
- P&IDs
- Isometrics
- Support books
- Logic diagrams
- Wiring diagrams
- Loop diagrams
- Instrumentation hook-ups
- Strong leadership and reporting skills
- High level of autonomy and teamwork capabilities
- Advanced Google Suite skills
- Fluent English communication skills (mandatory
- Holder of VCA VOL and NEN 3140 VP certifications.
- Experienced in safe working practices on and near low-voltage electrical installations, troubleshooting, commissioning activities, and LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures.
- Willing to obtain the French NF C 18-510 habilitation (B0/H0V/B2V/BR/BC) if required.
